Overview

Each workspace has role-based user permissions. Every member is assigned one role: Owner, Admin, or Member. The role defines what they can view, create, update, and delete across the workspace.

Creators have full permissions to their own resources.The member who created a resource (e.g. connector credential, source, API key, etc.) can always update and delete it, regardless of their workspace role.

Managing memberships

Owners and admins can manage workspace members in Settings → Members.

Inviting workspace members

Open Settings and go to the Members tab.

Enter the email address of the person that should be invited and select the appropriate role.

The invitee receives an email link to join the workspace.

If the email does not arrive, open the member’s action menu and choose Copy invite URL or Resend invitation.

Removing workspace members

Open Settings and go to the Members tab.

Find the member you want to remove and open their action menu.

Select Revoke access and confirm the deletion in the modal opening up.

Changing a workspace member’s role

Open Settings and go to the Members tab.

Find the member whose role you want to change and open their action menu.

Select the new role: Admin or Member.
Admins cannot demote themselves.An admin can change the role of other admins, but cannot demote their own account. If you need to change your own role, contact the workspace owner.

Managing groups

Groups are named collections of workspace members. Use a group to manage a set of people together (for example a team or department) instead of one member at a time. Owners and admins can manage groups in Settings → Groups.

Creating a group

Open Settings and go to the Groups tab.

Select Create group and give the group a name.

Confirm to create the group. You can add members to it next.

Adding and removing members

Open Settings → Groups and select the group you want to edit.

To add people, use the member field to add one or more workspace members. Only existing workspace members can be added to a group.

To remove someone, open their action menu in the group’s member list and select Remove.

Renaming or deleting a group

Open the group in Settings → Groups.

Rename the group from its settings, or use Delete group to remove it. Deleting a group does not remove its members from the workspace.
Only owners and admins can manage groups.Members can belong to groups, but cannot create, rename, delete, or change the membership of a group.
